Fox Business Channel In Canada

Fresh from the $5 billion purchase of The Wall Street Journal and the other financial properties that comprised The Dow Jones Company, Rupert Murdoch is set to launch his new Fox Business Channel but we won’t see it in Canada for months. According to this Globe And Mail article:

Fox Business is in talks with cable and satellite TV carriers in Canada to offer the channel, but regulatory approval could take several months.

That sucks. I’m the farthest thing from a fan of Fox News but it would be great to have another option for “background noise” throughout the trading day.

This brings up another pet peeve of mine and it has to do with Apple. You still cannot buy TV shows or movies on iTunes Canada and when is the iPhone going to get here? I know the regulatory process here borders on insanity but let’s get on with it.
